Our neighbor said a coyote had made their way up to the alley on the west side of SW Brandon and 44th Ave SW at around Midnight Sunday the 24th on the eve of Memorial Day. He saw the silhouette of “coyote” with an animal in its mouth after hearing a very loud cat fight enough to bring him to look outside.
Our cat, Buster, has not been seen since last night and we fear the worst. Hoping for a miracle, we are looking for any information that may give us an injured cat or further closure. It doesn’t look good but anything is possible.

Also, warning to outdoor cat owners in the Seaview Area. There may be a predator more bold and prowling deeper in the neighborhood than previous years. Buster is mostly an indoor cat but likes to cat around in the evenings. Never thought something like this could happen this deep in the neighborhood away from Alki and the ravine south of SW Graham St. Hold your animals a little closer tonight.
Hi! I am sorry to hear about your kitty. I live at the corner of Dawson and 44th and I think I saw your kitty yesterday (Monday) around 3-5pm. I am going to try to pull up the camera footage if I can but I feel fairly confident it could be Buster. I didn’t see him closely but he was clearly scared and ran away just fine. I know our neighborhood has a similar looking cat that has a huge tracking collar on, but the one I saw yesterday did not have this tracking collar so perhaps Buster!
Thanks again for your help. He has still not made it home. Please continue to keep an eye out if you see a tuxedo tabby like the one pictured without a collar. He is chipped and no word from animal shelters or vets yet. There is a glimmer of hope still. I appreciate your response and texts.
