Small, but busy neighborhood consignment shop for Everything Baby, Kid, Teen, and Maternity seeks Jane (or Jack) of all trades.

Do you like to: Buy – Sell – Trade? Enjoy a fast pace with nary a chance to sit down? Can you drive a hard bargain? Do you value being fair? Do you love recycling? Should you respect your mother?

This is a small, independent, cruelty free, neighborhood business serving thousands of primarily West Seattle families & supporting West Side Baby, a local community charity, for families in need. Preference given to candidates who are members of the West Seattle Community.

Job requires: A), strong communication and CUSTOMER SERVICE skills, B), background with hunting for quality bargains, C), good working knowledge and experience with all phases of pregnancy and parenting including all the clothing, toys, books, and equipment that pregnancy and parenting entails.

Job involves some lifting (up to 50 lbs.), an affinity for babies and children, critical thinking, squeezing into small spaces, multi-tasking, computer friendliness, mechanical / repair abilities, CLEANING, basic accounting and a special flair for “keeping shop” in an attractive, pleasant, fun and festive way.

College and experience with children, retail, performing arts, event planning, garage sale-ing, craiglslisting or e-baying, all a plus.

Shop is open 7 days / week. Schedule can possibly be very flexible PT, but must be reliable.
