1:04 PM: Thanks for the tip. SFD and SPD have responded to what we’re told is a “rollover” crash on 26th SW south of Westwood Village. We’re off to check it out.
1:28 PM: Thanks to another texter who sent the photo as well as clarification that it’s on 26th between Barton and Cambridge.
1:35 PM: At least two parked vehicles were damaged, an officer just told dispatch.
1:46 PM: The flipped car was righted and towed and the street has reopened.
Looks like some of the bus routes in that aeea will be in re route. Heard about from Metro dispatch while on the bus.
the red car was driving North on 26th, struck the parked silver SUV (driving it into the white truck), and flipped and spun across both lanes. locals were warning car & bus traffic away at the Barton and Cambridge ends; motorcycle police arrived after 30min, didn’t help with traffic until a parking lane was cleared of debris. this photo was taken after the driver was taken in an ambulance (appeared shaken but not obviously injured). the car required two tow trucks to flip back over.
